Palo Santo Essential Oil
Palo santo means sacred wood. People used the oils derived from this wood for spiritual applications. Palo santo oil is a thin, clear, pale yellow liquid that smells woody, sweet, balsamic, and fruity. It has limonene compounds like frankincense oil, and its notes are a fine combination of frankincense, atlas cedar, vetiver, lemon, and mint.
Palo santo oil produces soothing and grounding effects that assist in anxiety, emotional trauma, and depression. Besides, it is valuable for various health conditions such as joint pain, body aches, and respiratory infections. Palo santo oil possesses antioxidants and antiseptic properties that make it an effective emollient and suitable dermal ointment. For respiratory health, people have traditionally used oregano and palo santo essential oils. It’s also become a well-known alternative treatment for cold and influenza symptoms.
Essential oil manufacturers use the interior wood of an aged palo santo tree to extract oil. Though the palo santo tree is native to South Pacific Coast, Ecuador is the major cultivator of palo santo trees and the thriving hub of palo santo oil. The users admire the palo santo oil derived from Bursera graveolens species. People in Ecuador use it in holy rituals and home fragrancing as the oil brings positive vibes and purifies the air.

Patchouli Essential Oil
Patchouli essential oil is another oil used extensively for spiritual purposes. Surprisingly, the essential oil manufacturers extract it from leaves and, not the resin or mature wood. Patchouli oil is a thin, dark brown or brown fluid with a rich, earthy aroma. It offers base notes in fragrance and diffuser blends. The users prefer to use it in low dilution with floral, woody, and resinous oils. The fragrance of patchouli essential oil gets better with age, and it is the plus point of patchouli oil.
Patchouli oil adds a grounding effect in a blend that helps focus and rebalance the mind and ensuing spiritual journey. Its use also reduces stress and fatigue. Patchouli oil heals acne and chapped, oily, or weathered skin. We are all familiar with the environment in which we live.
